Beaches serve as the first line of defense against hurricanes and coastal storms.

Our legislative focus:

1. Advocating for proactive investment in coastal resilience projects that protect communities against flooding, erosion, wind and wave damage, and habitat degradation

2. Securing funding post-disaster from the Corps of Engineers and FEMA to rebuild local economies and restore habitats

3. Working with FEMA and other federal agencies to enhance Pre-Disaster Mitigation programs
