We are proud to announce that the Borough of Sea Girt, New Jersey has officially joined the American Coastal Coalition!
Sea Girt, a residential community in southern Monmouth County, is an asset to North Jersey beaches with its year-round beach and boardwalk, historic Sea Girt lighthouse, and a “wonderful community boasting small town charm, rural beauty, and a rich community life.”
Sea Girt is joining a growing network of towns and cities working together to address coastal resilience, shoreline protection, and sustainable development along America's coastlines.
The ACC is eager to work with the Borough to protect our coastlines and strengthen the collective voice of coastal communities working toward a more resilient future.
About the American Coastal Coalition
The American Coastal Coalition is a unified voice for America’s coastal communities in Washington, D.C. The Coalition advocates for robust federal funding for beach nourishment, coastal restoration, and resilient infrastructure to help communities adapt to sea-level rise, flooding, and climate change. The ACC works directly with Members of Congress and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to restore and maintain beaches that drive billions in economic activity while protecting homes, businesses, and public infrastructure from erosion, storms, and sea-level rise.
