The ACC is proud to share that ACC member Avalon, New Jersey was recently featured as the cover story of the NJ League of Municipalities’ November 2026 issue of the NJ Municipalities Magazine.
Written by Avalon’s Barbara Juzaitis, Councilwoman, and Scott Wahl, Business Administrator, “Seashore Replenishment Investments” highlights the key economic attributes of beach nourishment and why it is vital not only to coastal communities but to the whole nation. They highlight that “coastal resiliency and tourism income is not a partisan issue, it’s an American issue that requires broad, and not myopic vision, and support from the beaches to our country’s heartland.”
Scott Wahl, the Borough’s Business Administrator, serves as the Chair of the Board for the American Coastal Coalition.
